about
landedthis is a web page you throw your phone with. tap your move, hold the phone still for a beat, throw it up, catch it. the motion sensors record the flight, and the page reads it back as a trick: how long it was in the air, how high it went, and what it did on the way.
the tricks
named the way a skateboarder would. the phone rolling over along its length is a KICKFLIP or a HEELFLIP, and there are doubles and triples. a spin is a SHOVE-IT — backside or frontside, 360 or 540. flip and spin together and it is a VARIAL KICKFLIP, a HARDFLIP or, with a full spin, a TRE FLIP. end over end is a BACKFLIP or a FRONTFLIP. no rotation at all is an OLLIE. a phone you do not catch is cooked.
the score
the trick sets the base — an OLLIE is 100, a KICKFLIP 500, a TRE FLIP 1,500 — and every second in the air adds to it. the height is worked out from the airtime, because a thrown phone is a ballistic thing. a throw is scored on the phone, by the phone.
the board
claim a throw and it goes on the public leaderboard under a nickname you pick. nothing is taken on trust: the server re-scores the recording itself before it lists anything. every claimed throw gets a page of its own, with the score in the link preview, for whoever needs to see it.
your phone
we’re not applecare. throw over a bed, catch with both hands, and use it at your own risk: landedthis does not cover a phone that lands badly.
who
landedthis is made in paris by QUALITY F2P. the person behind it is Charly Delaroche, President.
